New headquarters for 22 developers at one address
A client was looking for an office with an on-site gym to attract employees to the office. They rented 124 m2 and purchased 9 permanent parking spaces.
The CodeStream Solutions team needed a place that would win over working from home. We found a 124 m2 office on Chorzowska, where a gym and good access changed the team's attitude.
The challenge
The company was struggling with empty desks. Developers preferred to work from the couch because commuting to the center of Katowice was associated with a waste of time and lack of parking. For the last 7 months, attendance at their old spot did not exceed 24%. The owner was looking for a module that would fit 22 workstations, but above all, give people a reason to leave the house – e.g., a quick workout before coding.
Our approach
We analyzed the floor layout at Epirusworld to minimize street noise. We chose a 124 m2 module right next to the elevator leading straight to the fitness zone. Our technical team prepared additional cabling for 23 workstations in 9 working days, so the company could move in without project downtime.
The solution
We prepared an open space with a designated room for quick meetings and a kitchenette. The client rented 9 permanent parking spaces in the underground garage, which solved the problem of morning traffic on Chorzowska. A key element was access to the gym and restaurant on the ground floor, which allows employees to handle training and lunch without moving their car.
Results
After moving in May 2024, the office began to pulsate with life. People come more willingly because they have everything at hand – from coffee to dumbbells. The office stopped being just a workplace and became a base for the entire team.
